Lititz Fire & Ice Festival: Winter's Coolest Event

Every year, visitors from all over flock to the charming Lancaster County town of Lititz for its annual Fire & Ice Festival. Held on Main and Broad streets and in Lititz Springs Park, this 10-day winter wonderland celebration is one of the most anticipated events of the season and offers something for everyone, from ice sculptures and a fire performer to food trucks and a pub crawl. Join in the fun for this year's event, which runs from Feb. 16 through Feb. 25, 2024.

The Fire & Ice Festival is known for its vibrant atmosphere and stunning creations that become part of the small town's landscape during one of the coldest months of the year. Each year, professional ice sculptors create intricate works of art out of ice blocks weighing hundreds of pounds. The sculptures range in size and complexity, but all are lit up by strategically placed LED lights that make them shine even brighter when night falls. Of course, we can't forget the fire! The festival kicks off with a special preview party, dubbed Winter's Coolest Night Out, on Feb. 15 at Lititz’s newest music venue, The Lititz Shirt Factory. Guests will enjoy a private ice sculpture carving, live music from Big Boy Brass, and delicious hors d’oeuvres and drinks from Collusion Tapworks. The Lititz Shirt Factory is also the place to catch the festival's Local Eyes Photography Exhibit featuring iconic Lititz images.

Downtown restaurants will be offering some hot eats and cool treats throughout the festival, with fire-and-ice-themed food and drink specials. For those looking for something unique, there will be a number of specialty food trucks with mouth-watering fare to warm your belly. And they're really heating things up with the Lion's Club Chili Cook-off on Feb. 17. Besides great eats, visitors can participate in a pub crawl, shop at the Lititz Makers Market, enjoy live music, roast marshmallows, and so much more.
